imessage id

Hello Apple community,

I'm using an iPhone4 with iOS5

Yesterday a friend of mine told me that iMessage is showing my AppleID instead of my regular name (saved in his Phone).

Could anyone tell me why and how to change it?

I want everyone to see my name instead of my email address.
