Q: Siri doesn't know my home address

Whenever I ask Siri to "remind me when I get home" it says it doesn't know my home address.

However I have my home address entered into my contact info correctly... The address book entry I use for myself has both my work and home addresses entered in exactly the same format. Siri will recognise my work address fine (I can say "remind me when I get to work" and it works perectly) and will happily recognise other people's addresses too, but for some reason I cannot get it to use my home address.

I've tried all of the following:

- Deleting my home address from my contact card and re-entering it.

- Changing my contact card to someone else and then changing it back to mine.

- Saying "my house" instead of "home" (but I doubt this is the problem as Siri says "By the way, I don't know where your home address is" so it must know that I'm trying to use my home address, it just doesn't know what the street adress actually is).

Has anyone got any further advice before I try the Genius bar?

I was having the same problem and now what worked for me was removing the DASH in the adddress. So I used to have it as 1234-56A Ave, but to get it to work finally after months of it not working I changed it to 1234 56A Ave

For me, Siri DOES recognize my (and other contacts') home address for turn-by-turn navigation ("Take me home") but does NOT recognize it for geofence reminders ("When I leave home, remind me _____").

Some really basic bug, even without any weirdness in the Maps app/address lookups..

I think I figured it out.

Even if you put your contact info into Siri as your personal card, it won't instantly accept any address that isn't specifically typed into the 'home' field. I had my address completed from Facebook as Unified Info, so Siri required me to tap the address each time I asked her to take me home. Now that I've put my address in again as specifically being 'home', Siri takes me straight back to my house.

    What worked for me:

Deleted every address from my iPhone, filled in the address from my mac and then synced my iPhone with iTunes.

    After that everything works fine.
