My iPhone calendar won't sync to my mac iCal using iCloud?

what OS you running on the MBP? needs to be 10.7.2

In ical, click on the calendars button in the upper left corner of the window. Make sure there is an "iCloud" section, if there is, make sure the calendars you want to sync are under the icloud section not the on my mac section. If it's not there, go to system preferences and enable calendar syncing in the icloud section of mail, contacts, calendars.

No icloud section. on my ical mac. Cannot find that setting in sys preferences either

I am running 10.6.8

Once iCloud is set up I still found I had to manually change each event by creating another "Kate" option, right clicking with the mouse on each event. Then on your phone when in the Calendar app, click the Calendar button at the bottom and "check" / tick the new option to activate.
