Transfer ultraviolet digital copy dvd to iTunes, not Flixster?

Got Horrible Bosses on Blu-Ray and instead of a digital copy that downloads automatically to iTunes, they have this new "ultraviolet" digital copy that only downloads to some stupid thing called Flixster Collections, which basically tries to be like iTunes for movies, but is way ******** and less convenient.

ANYWAY, the point is, I want to watch it on iTunes. Is there a way to do it? --- I'm pretty worried the answer is no, since I googled it and came back with nothing, but I thought I'd ask ----

The iTunes code from Flixster and Warner Bros worked fine in iTunes. I was on the Flixster Connections site in My Account with the dropdown menu of Contact Us. Their form was filled out and I told them wanted to have the movie in iTunes to use on my iOS devices. They sent an email with the iTunes code and the other corporate propaganda on how great their concept is and that they want good customers to be happy. Basically I did what arkling posted earlier. I think in the future if there is a UV Digital copy available it is better to go to iTunes and just download. This will probably be more expensive but less hassle.

Thanks everyone for the message thread. I was super annoyed at the inconvenience of this digital download. When I purchased HP: Deathly Hallows 1, the movie direcltly downloaded to iTunes. Now, with this second movie, I had to join two different media players/libraries! (Flixster and Ultraviolet) ... Both of which didn't communicate, required separate user names and passwords and had TERRIBLE UI. Granted, I should be telling all of this to them, but hopefully they will send me an iTunes download code.

Thanks again! Down with Flixster!

+1 for arkling's response. I received the following reply exactly 10 minutes after submitting my ticket:

"

Dear Dan:

Thank you for being one of our best customers and among the first to try UltraViolet Digital Copy.

While we have received a lot of positive reaction to UltraViolet, we realize that with any new technology there is a learning curve for both creators and consumers, and this is especially true around new user experiences.

It's important to us that you are fully satisfied with your purchase. We are issuing you an an iTunes code for your movie so that you can obtain an iOS-compatible download of this title immediately.

To redeem your code, please follow these instructions:

"

The first code they sent didn't work. I replied to the response, and they apologized with another code, which is currently downloading.

I got the same response from Ultraviolet and the movie is downloading into iTunes now, so thanks to the community for the information. As for Customer Service, Flixster Cust Svc was wretched...UltraViolet on the other hand had everything wrapped up and done within 30 minutes...provided there are no issues with the download! =) Thanks again for the info!

I followed the instructions on the DVD package and downloaded the movie after entering the code with the DVD. Then go into the Flipster Connections application and set up your account if needed. I did not enter any credit card information. Click on My Account and Help and then Contact Us (or something similar). In this space you can enter your information and request an iTunes code to go directly to iTunes Store and download in the usual manner. A previous post by "arkling" has a web site that worked, but I just followed the Flipster Connections links and did not notice the exact web site. When finished you may want to uninstall Flipster Connections application and that will also uninstall the movie in UV format on your hard drive.

I just got Cowboys & Aliens and after seeing that the downloaded file from Greenlantern was not compatible with itunes I tried entering the code directly into the itunes store redemption window and it worked. no need to contact flixster or UV. Not positive if this will work with all codes though.

First-time poster here. I want to be sure I understand what you're saying here. Do you mean to say you entered the redemption code that actually came with your copy of the movie? I tried that with the code that came with my copy of "Green Lantern" and it didn't work.
