iCloud Tasks Sync with MS Outlook

Hello,

I installed iCloud to sync my tasks with MS Outlook. The tasks are syncing in a task file called "Tasks in iCloud" . This is great, but MS Outlook's To-Do bar and Calendar do not display the iCloud tasks (only the taks that are in the .pst file)

Is there a way to tell MS Outlook to point to the "Tasks in iCloud" file so that it displays that the iCloud data in the Calendar View and the To-Do reading pane?

Thank you for your help!

Richard,

I've checked out every button in Outlook 2007 and I can't find a way to make the reading pane on the side of "mail" show the iCloud items. As we know you can't see contacts or calendars in Outlook anymore. They are all in the cloud only but the reading pane on the side of the Mail select field won't allow viewing the iCloud calendar items. Anyone know how to show cloud items rather than what's on Local Caledars?

I've been trying to figure this out as well w/ no luck so far. I broke my categories out into mulitple iCloud task folders as a way to try to organize them on iOS. Which now means in Outlook 2010 I can't even figure out a way to consolidate them into a single view across the task folders. The Outlook "To-Do List" will consoidate multiple folders from the main mailbox but not from iCloud. I tried this suggestion as well...which works for .pst but isn't an available option under iCloud. 😟

Unfortunately there is not, iCloud is a separate account in Outlook and as such can not become the default (only Outlook internal or MS Exchange accounts can be the default)

To expand on Csound1's comment.... It does seem to be a separate account. .pst files have the option to "Display reminders and tasks from this folder in the To-Do bar" but separate Exchange accounts don't. I have mixture of .pst and other Exchange accounts I connect to in my work Outlook. I can get it to consolidate the various .pst Task locations but not the separate Exchange accounts. iCloud behaves like a separate Exchange account and won't consolidate. It's unfortunate b/c it's almost a great solution in that I can now sync my work Tasks w/ my phone and iPad...but the Outlook behavior could be better and the Reminders in iOS desperately needs some better ways to sort...or assign to lists based on categories...something.

I've somewhat been down this path too trying to get a view to pull in a list from another account w/ no luck.
