iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn’t connected to the Internet

Hi. I just installed iTunes and am trying to get up and running. Pretty hard to do without the help file! When I select Help->iTunes help, I get the message, "iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn’t connected to the Internet." Trouble is, my internet connection is just fine.

Disabling Norton 360 Firewall has no effect.

Selecting Help->run diagnostics->Network connectivity tests shows no problems (all tests passed).

The iTunes Store does not load anything into the page, but it does not report any errors either.

email and IE9 work fine.

Any clues?

Thanks,

Will

I have the same problem. I can't connect to the store, and I can't update, and I can't stream music. Watch the discussions people post and you can see the same complaint, in various forms.

Some people have tried a netsh winsock reset: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3396443?start=0&tstart=0

and this https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3259052?start=0&tstart=0 BUT a netsh reset can cause other problems and doesn't work for everyone.
