Here are a couple of articles that might help.

If you want to be able to download all of your music that you have in your iTunes libary and not just the stuff you bought from iTunes then you will need to add the iTunes Match service when it becomes available. Match will cost $25 a year. (of course the songs in your library have to also be available in the iTunes store for you to be able to get them through the iTunes Match service)

So I have iTunes Accounts set up, iCloud enabled and iMatch rolling. Got my library matched (well, vast majority, like many others I do have some songs that have no reason to be 'inelligible' but are not uploading. Don't lecture me on the "rights". I'm a musician with 100s of songs in my library I wrote and recorded. iTunes uploaded about 80% of them. remaining 20% iMatch says are inelligible. BS. its a bug.)

Upon turning on iCloud on my iPhones, I lost the ability to tell iTunes which playlists I want on my iPhone. Instead, I am told to download "songs" from my cloud. Annoying as that's a lot of songs to wade through again. And I have cool smart lists created to auto-sync stuff to taste. Fine.

I go to my playlist and there are no songs at all on myiPhone, even after going to settings (good luck finding that tip!) and enabling viewing "all songs" so I can see the cloud. No songs in playlists. I see all the songs if I go to an artist on the cloud and download it again. Then, back to playlist and just those songs are there!!

There is one playlist that enabled me to "download all" from my phone. Rest don't. Why????

Why can't I dictate playlists via iTunes as before?? When you have over 20,000 songs in your library, playlists are really, really important. It will take hours for me to cherry pick through the cloud to find the songs I want on my phone. The songs I already groomed via the power of iTunes.

Good idea here with iCloud, please help with the usability!!!

Derek,

I was having the same issue. On my iPhone, I tapped Music, then More, then Shared. Under this selection, I noticed it was set to my iPhone. I changed it to my Library and my playlist I had setup in iTunes was now available on the iPhone.

I hope that helps - I just joined the iMatch service today and I'm still trying to understand it!

Have a good one.

I have the same issue! I paid for Imatch and it *****. I can't access anything from my iphone 5 at all. And below, the idea to try to hit music, then more, then shared. Well, Shared isn't even an option on my phone. That's what's so confusing. I'll watch tutorials with all of my same systems and the screenshots they show in the tutorial aren't even available on my phone. It drives me crazy. Do we just have to wait for Itunes and Imatch to have a come to Jesus and realize their stuff doesn't work? HELP!!!

I noticed that with the new version of the OS on the iDevices you have lost a lot of control. It seems when you use iCloud you are not given the option to specify playlists. What happened when I switched to the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 was that after already having iTunes Match set up on iTunes on the Mac and then going into the phone - when you go into Music you will get a cloud and a progress bar. After this finishes then all your playlists should appear in the Music app.

I have the opposit problem. There are some playlists I want specifically excluded and there is no way to do that - it appears to be a one shot.

Brookfromak is correct - with the iPhone 5 and/or iOS 6 the Music > More option has been removed.

Just caught this thread as I am having difficulty access ing my music from the iCloud and I have iTunes Match.

Not sure where you guys are, but I am in the UK and according to this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4859, it is only available in the States. That at least lets me know why. Still a bummer if I cannot access the full functionality, especially as that is why I subscribed !!

HOW DO YOU ACCESS MUSIC FROM iCLOUD ON YOUR iPHONE?

I had the same problem. Try this: On your iPhone, tap the SETTINGS icon. Under SETTINGS, the second item down the list will be Wi-Fi. TURN ON Wi-Fi by finding your network. Next it will ask for your network password - input your network password. That's it. Now go to the MUSIC icon on your iPHONE - you may have a blank white screen with the outline of the Apple iCloud logo with a status bar showing it connecting the iCLOUD. At this point you should be connected - click on PLAYLISTS, SONGS, ARTISTS, etc - you should see your entire music library.
