Sicne upgrading to ios5, whenever I get a voicemail, the alert will repeat a second time if I don't immediately check it. Any way to disable this? Very annoying! There is a setting for text alert repeats but I don't see one anywhere for voicemail alert repeats!

Agreed that this is a very annoying feature! Unlike SMS/iMessages, there is no setting to change the number of alerts. I even poked around the plist files for a "hidden" setting, but no luck.
For the time being, I've just turned voicemail alerts off completely, but this is a suboptimal solution.
I am seeing this too. The worst is when you are asleep, ignore the call and voicemail alert, drift back to sleep, and then get hit with an alert again a minute later.
I cannot seem to find any official way to report this as a bug to Apple. Does anyone know how to do that?
I read on another similar thread that some people have just turned off voicemail alerts altogether, in order to get this to stop. I guess that's not a bad option, but still not ideal.
Glad I finally found a thread on this.... this has been driving me nuts, and I'm surprised more people haven't commented on this. My main purpose for replying is to ensure I get notified of any solution. Thanks for starting this thread.
I've noticed the same thing recently. It drives me crazy! I really don't need a reminder one minute after the initial notification! I have Notifications > messages > Repeat set to never. This should either apply to voicemail as well, or the iPhone shoudl give me an option to do the same thing with voicemail.

Forcing the alert to repeat twice is unacceptable. I heard it the first time ... 1 MINUTE BEFORE!

We are definitely in the minority on this. I know lots of folks that don't have this issue, but I definitely get two notifications of voicemails as you do.
