Create Windows install disk option in Lion Bootcamp?

am currently running Lion on my late 2010 Macbook Air. The new bootcamp has an option to create windows 7 installation disk from usb and iso. I have both but bootcamp won't let me select that option, any ideas?

If I go to FAQ on bootcamp support page, it says

Support for the Windows 7 ISO installer Install Windows with an installation disc you provide or, on Mac computers that do not have an optical drive, with a USB flash drive that contains a Windows 7 ISO image downloaded from Microsoft. The Boot Camp Assistant will offer to create this image on supported computers.

Is my MBA not supported by bootcamp assistant to create usb install disk>

I am having the exact same problem. Fixed the document in the boot camp package so the boot from usb option was available, but now just get stuck at "no bootable disk". What is really ******* me off is I just used the usb to install windows 7 using BCA on my mid 2012 mbp, but now am having issues trying to do the same on my brothers 2011 MBP. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I am unable to boot as well. I'm shown the same black screen and "no bootable disk". Creating the usb drive with windows 7 ultimate goes off without a hitch.

I'm attempting this on a late 2011 MBP 8,2. I'll continue to research solutions and will post back here if I find anything. Anyone else had any luck yet?

Update:

As an experiment I put the same exact usb key in my very old first ever macbook 1,1 to see what would happen. I already had refit installed so when the refit boot menu came up I selected the usb key and it started the instalation process!! (***...)

I aborted and put the key back in my macbook pro late 2011 8,2 and the same old "no bootable disk" caption shows up, even though I created the usb boot key in boot camp on the MBP...

Ok, well I suppose next thing for me to try is to install windows on the macbook 1,1 and clone it over to the Pro?

Someone correct me if i'm mistaken in thinking this might work.

Also, any thoughts on wy this isn't working on the Pro?

Thanks

Hi

I have a 17 inch MacBookPro 3,1

It has a superdrive and no matter what i do i cannot for the life of me get windows 7 installed, i have tried everything, cd, usb

I get efi problems, boot problems and all sorts, I have now upgraded it to Lion but the problems are still here, has anyone worked out a real way to fix this?

I dont understand why its so hard, i eventually brought an external dvd incase thats the issue now i get told its using too much power so im back to superdrive or usb.
