Exporting Mono .wav Files - Still Can't Make It Work
Hi all,
This is my first post, but I've scoured this forum and the Gearslutz forum, and I can't seem to find a conclusive answer to this issue: how does one export true MONO .wav files in Logic Pro 9?
I've tried the following:
- "Export > Track to audio file," but this only yields stereo tracks.
- "Export > All tracks as audio files," but this only yields every track as a stereo track.
- I've tried soloing each individual track and "bouncing" each of them one at a time, and under settings choosing "File Format: Wave," and "File Type: Split" and this DOES give me two tracks, one marked "filename_L" and the other marked "filename_R," - one would imagine that this would mean that one file would be a mono .wav panned to the left and the other would be a mono .wav file panned to the right. Alas, both contain both left and right channels.
What am I doing wrong? Is there any easy way to do this that I've just somehow missed? My mixing engineer wants these files this specific way to import into ProTools, and I'm sure I look silly sending stereo tracks when he specifically asked for mono, since that's how they were recorded.
Any and all help is EXTREMELY appreciated. Thanks so much!
