Colors on dock and menus washed out..

Go into System Preferences:Displays:Color

This is where you can select a display colour profile and/or calibrate your display. If you haven't already done so, run through the calibration process and profile it to a target gamma of 2.2, and native whitepoint. You might also want to try the expert mode at least once to see if you can improve on the result.

Universal Access in System Preferences has setting for doing some very strange things to a screen, and they all have key commands, so if you happen to hit the right set of keys accidentally your monitor can go way weird for no reason that you are aware of.

I hit the keys accidentally that reversed the monitor, making a negative of the usual view. I freaked out until I figured out what was wrong.

So, go to System Preferences, then click on Universal Access. Go down to display amd make sure Black on White is on and that the enhanced contrast slider is set at normal.

Did you get your colors fixed? Mine did something similar on Saturday night, but it seemed to be back to normal this morning. Everything looked washed out and almost like it had some weird tint to it. I wonder if it was just a fluke or if something is going bad.
