What is Siri saying? Is it reoeating what is on the screen? If so, go to Setings/General/Accessibility and make sure VoiceOver and other settings are off.

Derek, I am having the same problem, and your solution almost worked. I was able to use three fingers to get to the place where it showed that voiceover is enabled. Thought my problems were over, but when I tried to turn voiceover off, the screen went blank -- and that is where I am now. Rebooting the phone does nothing. Even though the screen is blank, the voiceover is still talking when I touch the screen.

I was going to "Restore" through iTunes, but the warning came up that all the apps I bought will be deleted and I would have to repurchase them. Not gonna do that!

I found another thread where someone said the problem could be fixed in iTunes, so I did that on my computer. With the phone plugged into the computer, I went to Sync and "Configure Universal Access." Can't remember what I did there -- maybe just disabled voiceover (?) -- but it was something very simple and cured the problem immediately.

I'll have to learn about the "Genius" creature.

Thanks!
