tested Siri this morning and now I can't turn off Siri at all. I can't scroll on my iPhone 4S or do anything without Siri talking. Even went to settings and turned it off and it still talks.
also did several soft resets. I NEED HELP!!
What is Siri saying? Is it reoeating what is on the screen? If so, go to Setings/General/Accessibility and make sure VoiceOver and other settings are off.

I have a similar problem however I can't get past the Enter Passcode screen to change any settings as Siri simply reads out the buttons I am pressing
Try double tapping where you would normally tap once.
I am having the same problem. Siri is driving me nuts! Any solution??

I can't scroll down the pages to get to do that. I have to double tap everything. Texting is a nightmare.
I do but I can't get the phone to stop doing that. I've turned it off using the soft reset and it still comes back on with Siri talking. I've even disabled Siri and it still keeps talking!!!!!!
To scroll do a 3 finger flick. Place 3 fingers on the screen and flick up or down to scroll. I know it's a pain.
I assumed the problem was Siri however it was actually the Accessibility settings that was the problem.
Somehow the VoiceOver setting had been enabled. The solution was to tap each button once, wait for the VoiceOver description of the button to finish then double tap that key, that will then get past the Enter Passcode screen. Then navigate to settings, general, accessibility menu and disable VoiceOver. As mentioned by someone above you will need to use three fingers to scroll.
That sorted my problem out and I'm back to enjoying playing with Siri. Hope this helps
A simpler method for enabling and disabling Voiceover is three presses of the home button to toggle the stteing on or off
Triple pressing the home button to toggle VoiceOver only works if you have Triple-click Home set to VoiceOver in settings.

That fact that that setting is turned on is probably why people are accidentally enabling VoiceOver in the first place.🙂
Good point Meg. But I don't think that setting is the default setting.
I think it may be the default setting on the 4S as suddenly, this issue is popping up a lot. In the past, it's been rather rare. I think, without exception, the people reporting this have the 4S. And, most of the people who respond back report that triple clicking solved it for them. So, that's my current theory.
Theory is spot on about default setting, I have a 4S and have now disabled VoiceOver and the triple click home after my daughter accidentally enabling VoiceOver again whilst playing with Siri !
