My iPhone calendar was empty after lion upgrade. Why won't my iPhone sync with ical?

After upgrading my imac to Lion and my iphone4 to OS5, my calendars won't sync and my iphone calendar was totally empty. Why?

iPhone 4, iOS 5, iMac 10.7.2
