countdown timer on lock screen?

I use the countdown timer in the iPhone Clock app as a lab timer, and therefore set a timer 7-8 times/day.

I have updated to iOS5, and would like to know if anyone knows a way to have the lock screen display the current countdown, as it currently requires me to unlock the screen and open the app for a quick check.

I have looked in the notification settings, but the app is not listed.

any thoughts?

At this time it is not able to add a timer to the lock screen.
