Sync Session Failed to Start iTouch iOS5

Since upgrading my 64GB 4th Gen iTouch to iOS5 I kkep getting the 'Sync Session Failed to start" message.


I'm using the iPod with an XP PC and it always worked before the upgrade. iTunes is 10.5.0.142.


Seen lots of others post this question, but can't find an answer!

Just went through this. Make sure Windows is not trying to us "Autoplay" when plugging in the iPad. This was causing a conflict. After plugging in your iPad to your PC, Go to "Control Panel" > Hardware and Sound> Autoplay. Scroll to the bottom under the "Devices" section. You should see your iPad device listed. Change the setting from the drop down menu on the right to show "Take no Action". Then launch iTunes. This should remove the conflict.
