Dec 10, 2012 1:00 PM in response to stuartfromberkhamstedby gilluminate,This typically occurs when iTunes has recently been updated and the first action that occures with the new version is plugging in your device, which prompts iTunes to open itself up.
The new update typically requires that you run iTunes at least once after updating so that the updates get fully applied and so that whatever "What's New" message can appear/be dismissed.
When iTunes opens for the first time after an update as a result of plugging in a device, the update is not properly initialized and the "What's New" never appears.
Simply starting iTunes on its own after an update will usually avoid this problem/bug.

May 9, 2013 2:30 PM in response to AndreaKTby LarryHoughton,Another satisfied AndreaKT customer.
Power cycled my iPad (Home and Power Buttons) and, with no other interventions, it now syncs wirelessly. No more hanging on "waiting to Sync" or "could not be synched because the synch session failed to start".
Thank you Andrea !

Jun 8, 2013 9:10 AM in response to stuartfromberkhamstedby Bheflin1p,Just went through this. Make sure Windows is not trying to us "Autoplay" when plugging in the iPad. This was causing a conflict. After plugging in your iPad to your PC, Go to "Control Panel" > Hardware and Sound> Autoplay. Scroll to the bottom under the "Devices" section. You should see your iPad device listed. Change the setting from the drop down menu on the right to show "Take no Action". Then launch iTunes. This should remove the conflict.
