Sync iCal with Yahoo calendar give a CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation error

On my MacBook Pro running lion and Using iCal Version 5.0.1 (1547.4) I'm trying to sync it with my yahoo calendar.

However, I keep getting a...

The server responded with an error.

The request for account “Yahoo!” failed.

The server responded with “502”

to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

I've also tried this on another MacBook Air at home, the exact same issue.

Both Macs are running lion and have all of their updates.

I've also disabled iCloud and I've tried to remove and re add the account. No Luck

I can sync the yahoo calendar with my iPhone just fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks in advance!

I am having the same issue here and is on iOS Lion with the iCal calendar. At first when I installed the Y! Calendar, it worked fine and then I realized there was some events missing here and there.

All throughout the whole time, I am getting this error popping up every few minutes:

The server responded with an error.

The request for account “Yahoo!” failed.

The server responded with“502”

to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

I hope Yahoo Calendar engineers will resolve this issue ASAP.

I'm getting the same error, it seemed to start shortly after I transistioned to iCloud. It askes me to stay offline or go online. Neither options do anything but close the error message for a short period of time. Additionally, I'm not able to delete my message in Mail. I delete them, close Mail, but the next time I reopen Mail, the deleted messages are back in my inbox. What's going on??

See artmurp's reply above concerning the issue with your Yahoo calendar... this a Yahoo Calendar problem, not a problem on the Mac. If you are using iCloud for your email and created a mobileme email account - you might try deleting your messages there as everything is being backed up to iCloud (so you don't lose anything - i.e. its a feature). Hope that helps!

If I keep pressing the "Go Online" button then my calendar items seem to show up, it took 7+ presses of the button for this to happen.

However, someone at Yahoo! Calendar contacted me about the issue...

See the message from Yahoo just above this post. I had the same issues with synching Yahoo calendar after updating my OS. After 5 days of trying just about every fix under the book, I gave up and was going to manually type in my info to iCalendar. Low and behold, my Yahoo calendar with events and notes just synched about 5 minutes ago. I suspect everyone will be fine in the next day or two. 🙂

I am having the same problem with Yahoo/iCal. I have not yet updated to Lion or iCloud so those don't appear to be causing the problem. IIRC my problem started before iCloud even debuted. Luckily I rely mainly on MobileMe for my calendar events so it hasn't been anything more than an annoyance for me. Yahoo's help pages suggest the problem might even extend beyond just iCal; see: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/calendar/yahoocalendar/sync/

On another note, I have not been able to post replies to these forums without going into the advanced editor; if I try replying normally I get an error message. Not sure what that's all about. (I am using Camino 2.0.9)

Not so sure; wish I shared your optimism. I've had iCal fail completely with "509" and other sync issues to essentially every service. My iCloud version even created strange copies of my 7 calendars, some of which had over 20 copies. Apple phone support suggests deleting any copies on iCloud, backing up iCal calendars to *.ics files, going into Settings -> iCloud and unchecking Calendar, rebooting, re-checking iCloud Calendar in Settings, and trying again by restoring the backups. I had some success, but after a week at this iCal remains completely unreliable. No issue with Contacts and Mail seems to work. This is, for me, an area where MobileMe worked well but not at all in iCloud.

I'm having the exact same problem on MacBook Air with 502 but got a few 504 errors too.

Also iPhone4 is working fine with Yahoo.

I've tryed the same steps for diagnostic and found no issue. I tought to call Apple Store to get help flushing all iCal configs files from the Library, but I just found this post about it...

I was'nt aware of Yahoo Proxy errors.

As I need my calendar syncronized between Outlook, my iPhone and iCal, I just exporter all data from Yahoo to an ics file (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/calendar/yahoocalendar/importexport/importexpor t-02.html;_ylt=AkJYzYlyX7TXVac6MPid5.HTWyl4), imported it in iCal and activated iCloud to get every thing on sync with my iPhone4 and it worked fine.

Maybe, this Yahoo issue is related to their financial problems... Maybe, Google should buy Yahoo!... ;-)

Just to add my voice to the mix, a little more weight on this issue to convince Yahoo! (or Apple) it's worth fixing... 🙂

I've had the exact same problem on my MacBook Air running Lion 10.7.1 with 4G of mem. Haven't yet updated to iCloud so that rules it out as the culprit.

iCal on my iPhone and my iPad both connect just fine though. It's just the laptop that behaves.
