Same thing here. IOS, Apple Mail are failing on the password check and I am 100% sure my password is correct as I can only login the icloud.com to read my emails. Yet the status page for iCould is still showing green ticks.

I am very concerned by the fact Apple doesn't seem to have reported this problem anywhere.

What is the purpose of the status page if it doesn't reflect the current situation of all users?

FYI, it started 24 hours ago and worked for me for a very very short period of time yesterday afternoon (London time). It is still down, Apple Mail and my Iphone are unable to retrieve my emails! (sending emails works though).

I am having the same problem since 24 hours ago. All emails on my ipad and iphone are gone and not loading. It kept saying wrong username or password.

My Mac also stated "p01-imap..." rejected the password.

Also unable to access my emails via iCloud.com website.

I have read somewhere on this forum that if you are unable to access the emails via icloud.com website, there might be some bigger issue at play.

I called up Apple support and was advised to reset my password. Somehow I don't think its the wrong password issue because I can still access and use Calendar and Contacts online. The only issue is the email account.

I did change my password and still unable to access.

HELP!

Same issue here. Sometimes my iPhone will deliver the incorrect password error immediately after downloading emails from the icloud server.

I can log in to icloud on a Mac with Safari and access any iCloud section (calendar, etc.) other than Mail with no issue. Click on Mail and it generates a "Cannot load Mail" error. So obviously my password is correct--I just used it to log in to iCloud.

Me too. All day The only difference is that my imap server name starts with P02 instead of P01. It seems that my Ipad and IPhone dont work either except Push email from the Icloud ( I think) . If I try to force a receive I get the message that a password is incorrect.

Mail on Icloud seems to be fine

Just the IMAP server seems to be broken

I agree that Apple must know about this and should put up a status message.

I got tech from Apple Tech support last night named Peter, who actually could not help me unless I pay $49 for trouble shooting my mail. WOW I was shocked and disgusted that I have to pay for a problem this is not mine plus a problem that 100 (possibly 1000) of people are currently experiencing. I am extremely disappointed with apple in recent years and this is not fair for a lot of us. I am stuck without email on my computer, so I am asking the community what would be the best (economical) way to solve my (our) problem.

Thank you in advance

Well, can't say for sure but I had a similar problem on all my macs. Apple Mail stopped receiving my emails and was constantly reporting my password was incorrect. In desperation, I decided to remove my iCloud account from my computer to add it again and got it fully working again (I did this a few hours ealier).

Note that I could login on icloud.com with my email/password.

I closed iCal, Apple Mail, Address book.

I went to System Preferences > iCloud > Sign out.

Removed contacts, calendars.

Then signed back in.

Then it should take a few seconds to get your calendars/contacts.

Your emails should still be in Apple Mail which, at least for me, started receiving them again.

It seems to me that this issue is related to a problem in the keychain.

Not sure why this fixed it for me so I can't garantee it will work for you.

Good luck!
