On my iPhone 3, I have albums that appear listed in order, and if I manually advance the songs on my computer, they play in order. On my phone, the songs are in shuffle mode but it doesn't look like the shuffle function is on. How can I tell and/or how can I turn off shuffle on the phone itself?

I'm having the same issue with my 6th generation nano. I have shuffle off on the settings. And, I have an album that I like to listen to while I work out, but I want to listen to the songs chronologically, because it builds up for my work out. But, the nano keeps playing them out of sequence and it is driving me crazy. What is going on?
My Ipod Touch has similar issues since updating to IOS5. So far there appears to be no formal admission of a problem nor a fix. Some have reported deleting everything from device and re-loading can help, others have just re-loaded all music, others have duplicated the playlist under another name with some success.
So far I have done all the above and it appears to have corrected the problem. In addition I had songs that would not play although they were purchased from ITunes. This went away through the above process. Good luck.
