Dual Monitor - Dual Cursor?

I have a dual monitor setup on my G5 and every time the monitors turn off (energy saver setting) and I awake them I get a cursor on each monitor. The weird thing is this - the cursor on the right monitor moves with the mouse, but the one of the left stays stationary - however when the cursor changes to hand (if looking at a web site) then the stationary cursor also becomes a hand. If I move the mouse from the right monitor to the left then the "second" cursor goes away.

I know that all I need to do is run the mouse across both screens and the problem is solved, but that seems kind of silly and I just wanted to know if this is a common bug in the dual monitor setup or if there is something weird with mine.

Thanks!
