App icons not showing up after downloading?

Could the Apps be on the second page of Apps? From your Home page, wipe across from right to left to scroll to page 2.

If that is the problem, press and hold on the icon. When it starts to wiggle, you can drag it back to the first page. This can also be done from iTunes when the iPad is selected.

Having the same issue on an iPad 1. Some apps installed before the iOS 5 upgrade are installed, but no icon appears on any page. Now, new app purchases also do not appear but have also installed. The only way to find and launch is by searching for them on the search screen.

Well, 5 minutes after my previous post, I learn of the 11 page/220 icon limit. That is the issue for me.

I'm having this issue, too. Only since I did the iOS 5 update. There are several that are installed but there's no icon for them on any page. I have to search on them by name to launch.

Any ideas out there?

I assume that you havn't got 11 screens full of apps, and they you've checked all your screens and app folders for them. Have you tried a reset to see if they show up after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Similar problem here - The app store shows the app is installed, and when I search the iPad, the icon shows up, but the icon doesn't show up on one of the usual app pages.

I've tried rebooting and I'm nowhere near the 11 page limit. Right now I can't use the app without the search page, and I can't uninstall/reinstall.

Before I completely reinitialize my iPad 2, what else could I try?
