I just had my entire chat history with my sister in iMessage deleted, except for the last message I sent her. I just went into iMessage and it was all gone. Has anyone else had this problem? I assumed my chat history would be saved indefinitely.

I have the same problem. I got an important number and I tought I will save it later... but now I dont have the history only for a few messages... That's not fair!
Hi imjeb2u, I don't know what I did, but in iMessage a button appeared "Load Earlier Messages". Problem solved.
Thanks for the help. A few minutes after my original post, when I went back into iMessage, suddenly my messages were back. So maybe it was just a bug.
Load earlier messages does no load ALL of my previous messages. There's a reason I didn't delete my messages. Is there a way to get them back??
