How to merge two apple ID's

I've download the new IOS5 for my iphone but I'm getting totally confused with the setup for the iCloud.

Before the download I had:

1. One apple id which I used for all my iTunes purchases, which was not a .me account because I didn't have one when first setting up iTunes

2. One apple id for my mobile me account because I had this when I purchased my first mac and it was a paid for service.

When I went through the upgrade process, I've still got both accounts. However this doesn't help because then I can't access any videos or music from my iTunes ID because the iphone is only recognising that the icloud account is my mobile me account. Photostream won't work because the pictures taken on the iphone is using the iTunes id while my mac is using the mobile me account. So confusing.

Anyone know what do?

FAQs:

Can I merge multiple Apple IDs into one?

You cannot merge two or more Apple IDs into a single one. You can, however, use one Apple ID for iCloud services and another Apple ID for store purchases (including iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match). See “Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases” above for details.
