Frozen iPhone 4S - stuck on spinning wheel

I was using my iphone, when I got a frozen screen. I did a reset with the top button and home button. Now my phone is stuck on the black screen and frozen wheel. About every 5 minutes the wheel moves a little bit. I tried connecting to my PC and iTunes freezes and doesn't recognize the device. I'm not sure what i can do. I guess I have to wait for the battery to die. This *****. I hope it doesn't continue to happen.

PC, Windows XP

This happened to me a long time ago actually

I had to go to the Apple Store and they said that I had too many open applications

They said that in order to stop the open applications, you have to click the home button twice, click and hold on one the apps that pop up and click the ➖ the comes up. Keep clicking the button on all the apps that pop on the bottom bar until there is none left. (ps- this method is in order to prevent the frozen screen)

Hope this helps 🙂
