Iphone 4S getting too hot

i barely got my iphone 4S for sprint 2 days again...i notice it gets warm/hot in the back and on the side were the sim card is located at? is this noormal because my sisters iphone 4 doesnt get warm...its always cool.. any thoughts should i go return it for a new one?
