Why arent photo's taken on my iPhone appearing in Photostream

I have installed all new software required on iPhone, iPad and iMac.

Photos I now take on my iPhone are NOT appearing anywhere other than Camera Roll

There is nothing sitting in Photostream

What am I missing?

Thanks

I am also having problems with Photo Stream. I have reset Photo Stream in iCloud and checked all of my devices and they are all set appropriately and I am signed in with the same Apple ID on three of my four devices (I have two Apple IDs). Today I took some photos with my iPhone 4S and the photos are showing up in Photo Stream on the iPhone and on my iPad 2, but they are not showing up on the Apple TV or in iPhoto '11 (9.2.3) on my MacBook Pro.

It appears that the MBP is connected (in the system preferences) to iCloud using a different Apple ID, because that is where my music, calender, and reminders are. If I disconnect from that ID to connect using the other ID for access to the photos, will I lose the music and calender info?

(BTW, it would be really helpful if there were a way to merge multiple Apple IDs, or to transfer information between them. Clearly there are issues with having multiple Apple IDs as they relate to iCloud.)

The photos that are showing up in Photo Stream in iPhoto on the MBP are photos that I loaded from my camera directly into iPhoto. Since the MBP is linked to a different Apple ID, it makes sense that the photos I see in iPhoto are different from those I see on the iPhone or the iPad. Interestingly, tho, when I link to Apple TV using the same Apple ID as the iPhone and iPad, no photos are in the Photo Stream album.

I also don't see an option for viewing Photo Stream in iCloud when I'm connected to iCloud using the Apple ID that is linked to the iPhone & iPad. Should I be able to view any photos in iCloud directly when I'm connected to iCloud using the same Apple ID as the iPhone and iPad?

BTW, all of my devices are connected to the same WiFi network.

*ETA: It seems that regardless of the Apple ID I use to sign in through system preferences on the MBP, the photos that show up in the Photo Stream in iPhoto are the same - those that I've loaded into the computer from my camera.*

Same problem happens to me, when I take a photo with iphone 4s, it only in camera roll, but not in photo stream. Photo stream is open. Don't know what happening.

I turned off photo stream and turn it on again, the photo is in photo stream except the last one. So I took another photo, it shows under photo stream. Seems very unstable. Obviously Apple didn't do good job on iCloud. Tim should focus more on product quality checking like Steve did.

I'm having the same issue - photos in camera roll are not all going to photostream on the device they were taken on,so therefore not in sync with any other device.

I'mm connected via wifi at both home and work, and at the time the photos were taken. Both my iPad and iPhone are connected to a dock at night for recharging and sync.

Rebooted both devices to no avail, and have now deleted photo stream off the iphone 4s and re enabled it. Watching the photos as they are re added they are not going on in the order taken.

Very Strange

My photos i take on my iPad and iPhone go to photostream and appear on those devices: ipad photos end up on iphone and iphone photos end up on ipad. however, NO photos end up on Photostream in iphoto on my MacBook. ARGH. and i have yet to see a fix for this. all my software is up-to-date and everything is set up properly on my puter. i suppose there are worse problems, but this is highly annoying.

I'm having the same issue as you too! When i take photos with My iphone4 , it goes all to camera roll and nothing going to photostream. Even all my ipad and iphone and pc, all has photo stream turned on via icloud! So pictures hasnt synced

Neither of my apple devices.... So frustrating.

I have wifi connections at home and work, but perhaps have take som pics when i could t get access to wifi connections but surely these photos will also upload when connected to wifi again????

Rebooted both devices to no avail, i have tried and deleted photo stream off the iphone 4 and re enable it like you have then some old photos loaded into photostream from icloud which must have been backed up but they are loading all in a messy mix and not in order of day or event..

Apple please FIX or help us resolve this !

Well, my problem was MY error. i have two different icloud email addresses (evidently) and the computer was not signed in to the same email address as my iphone and ipad were. so now all three are signed on to icloud using the same email address and my problem was solved. took some working through saving my calendars so they would all be the same, but it was easy as pie. So first thing, check to make sure all devices are logged on using the same email address.
