I am also having problems with Photo Stream. I have reset Photo Stream in iCloud and checked all of my devices and they are all set appropriately and I am signed in with the same Apple ID on three of my four devices (I have two Apple IDs). Today I took some photos with my iPhone 4S and the photos are showing up in Photo Stream on the iPhone and on my iPad 2, but they are not showing up on the Apple TV or in iPhoto '11 (9.2.3) on my MacBook Pro.
It appears that the MBP is connected (in the system preferences) to iCloud using a different Apple ID, because that is where my music, calender, and reminders are. If I disconnect from that ID to connect using the other ID for access to the photos, will I lose the music and calender info?
(BTW, it would be really helpful if there were a way to merge multiple Apple IDs, or to transfer information between them. Clearly there are issues with having multiple Apple IDs as they relate to iCloud.)
The photos that are showing up in Photo Stream in iPhoto on the MBP are photos that I loaded from my camera directly into iPhoto. Since the MBP is linked to a different Apple ID, it makes sense that the photos I see in iPhoto are different from those I see on the iPhone or the iPad. Interestingly, tho, when I link to Apple TV using the same Apple ID as the iPhone and iPad, no photos are in the Photo Stream album.
I also don't see an option for viewing Photo Stream in iCloud when I'm connected to iCloud using the Apple ID that is linked to the iPhone & iPad. Should I be able to view any photos in iCloud directly when I'm connected to iCloud using the same Apple ID as the iPhone and iPad?
BTW, all of my devices are connected to the same WiFi network.
*ETA: It seems that regardless of the Apple ID I use to sign in through system preferences on the MBP, the photos that show up in the Photo Stream in iPhoto are the same - those that I've loaded into the computer from my camera.*
