Birthday entrys of deleted contacts aren't deleted

Hi there!

Since activating iCloud on my Mac and my devices I'm dealing with the following issue:

I've deleted several contacts from the Adress book and their birthdays still show in the Birthday's calendar!

The adress book is sync'd across all my devices and my iMac.

The calendars on the devices and on my Mac don't show the birthdays of the deleted contacts anymore, but the calender on iCloud.com still shows them, even after more than 48 hours!

Is there a way to purge the birthday's calendar in iCloud?

I cannot offer any help, but I have same issue. In my case I changed the birthday of a contact (I had the wrong year) and I now have two birthday events in the iCloud calendar. I deleted the contact and recreated it. I now have three birthdays in my iCloud calendar for the same contact! The calendars on my mac and ipad are correct, it's just the iCloud calendar that has the error. Good luck!

Same issue here!

I deleted a contact at my iPhone Calendar and it was correctly synchronized to iCloud and dissapeared from the iCloud adressbook too. However, the Birthday is still present in the iCloud birthday calendar. The birthday calendar only refreshes every one hour, but even after two days the birthday from this deleted contact is present!

BIrthdays from new created contacts appear in the birthday calendar as they should and the iPhone birthday calendar is also correct in every way.

What can we do to get rid of these bad entries from deleted contacts in my iCloud birthday calendar?

Kind regards

Mark

So, this is a few years late, and I am sure that you have solved the problem by now, or given up in frustration...

I came across this problem today, and found an easy solution that worked for me:

  1. Make sure that the contact card is deleted in Contacts
  2. Uncheck "Birthdays" in your calendar list
  3. Close Calendar
  4. Open Calendar
  5. Check "Birthdays" in your calendar list

This should clear the unwanted birthday from your calendar. I hope this works for you.
