Attempting to update iTunes 10.5, but error message "The older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group." Tech Support Group removed all Apple files and downloaded new version of iTunes; same problem.

Any idea how to solve this problem in attempting to upgrade from iTunes 10.22 to iTunes 10.5? I'm on a Dell Latitude E6400 running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3 installed. No other Apple software appears in the control panel to uninstall.

All I really want to do is transfer my iPhone 3G data to my new i4s and switch from synching the phone with my Dell to synching with my iMac.
