How to transfer contacts from 3S to 4S on a new SIM card?

I have a new iPhone 4s with a new sim card for a new network. How do I get all my contacts from my old sim card from the iPhone3S to my iPhone4S?Different sized sim cards and different networks means I cant figure this out and I bet its pretty basic!
