Dictation not working?

Don't know if anyone else has been experiencing this, but my dictation on Sprint iphone4s was working fine for one moment, then stopped working. Was dictating a note for a few minutes, then all of a sudden, it stopped working. Has been not working for at least 10 minutes now. This happened yesterday for me also, but then worked again this morning. Siri was also working fine, but now Siri is also not working, stating she's having trouble connecting to network.

1. Is this happening to other people?

2. I am now assuming that the dictation system is connected to the network/servers? Do other more knowledgeable people know if this is true?

Love the phone, but glitches are annoying (but not surprising).

Thanks for thoughts.

Was looking up more information about this problem and it seems that dictation and ability to use Siri are linked, as was the situation in my experience. I would appreciate if there was someone more knowledgeable about these issues who can confirm that dictation and voice recognition via Siri are related.

I am also having the same issues. What is going on. I read on here that there was supposedly an update released but I havent seen anything so I dont know for sure if this is true.

I just tried Siri again and she worked and the dictation worked. So, it would appear theyare linked somehow.

just happned to me dictation was't working i tired siri and it worked then i tired diation again and it worked.

This is a common issue among the 4s, currently working on getting the issue resolved. Since it is linked to siri and it is a beta, all the kinks are still getting straightened out. Hopefully a new update will be released soon.

Stopped working for me in Los Angeles today. Was working great. Restart did not correct problem.

It's been down for me all day. Called apple and they made me reset the network settings and it worked while the guy was on the phone. As soon as I hung up with him..it all went down again. They refused to admit she's broken which shows how uninformed he was.
