My iPad keyboard is split in two. How do I undo?

Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard set to 'off'

Or in the bottom right corner of the keyboard there is a key with a little picture of the kyboard and with a black down arrow. Touch and hold that key. A toggle for the split keyboard will pop up. If the keyboard is alreadt split, the same action will pop up a choice to unsplit and put it back on the bottom of the screen.

Another option, if you'd like to keep the capability of using the split keyboard, would be to simply grab each of the two pieces of keyboard and drag them back together again. Alternatively, hold (don't just touch -- hold it) the little icon of a keyboard in the lower right corner of that keyboard, and you'll see "Dock and Merge", which will put the keyboard back together again.

I had the same problem and was looking for absolution on apple website but they asked me to pay in order to get this issue sorted! When it's not even an issue! Thanks a lot! And thank God I looked here!

Hi and apologies if it has already been said, but if you hold the keyboard icon, bottom right, down it will tell you to Dock and merge. Press merge and hey presto you'll have a whole keyboard again. Have a good one.

You can do this by pinching, you pinch outwards to split it and inwards to join it. It's usefull but probably not to you

King _Penguin you saved the day...completely solved the problem. I also have no idea how this happened but I owe you big time...thanks! Note to others...you do have to scroll down to get to keyboard....won't see it initially.
