Apple TV and Bose v35

I have a Bose V35 and have connected Apple TV to it. I now have expanded the system and added another room.

It seems as if I can not listen to music streaming from Apple TV in room 2 while watching cable TV (input from a comcast device) in room 1. I realize this is probably a BOSE issue and not an Apple TV issue. My Bose remote that controls room 2 indicates that I should be able to cycle through all my inputs using the "OTHER" key on the remote. It's almost as if Apple TV stops broadcasting when room 1 switches away from it.

So the only way I can listen to music is to play music in room 1 & 2 simultaneous. Bose offers a "Party" feature that joins all the rooms together. In this scenario room 1 is also using the AppleTV as an input as well.

Any advice?

I have a similar (but not quite the same) issue.

I have a Bose v35 and just hooked up an apple tv to it. Though I went through Bose' setup and configured it control the Apple TV, the Bose remote does not control the Apple TV.

The apple TV remote works fine and I like the simplicity overall integration - would lke to use the Bose remote to control the entire setup if possible.

Any suggestions please?

I have exactly the same problem but with a lifestyle v25. I have tried to figure this out to no avail. As our DVD player has no problem playing in other rooms whilst someone is watching tv but it seems as though apple tv isnt recognised by the external remotes and can only be played in the other rooms when it is the source on the tv. any solutions?

It turns out that in order to hear audio in another room from a device that is connected via HDMI whilst using a different source on the main console, you have to also make an analog connection to the bose system as well. So you will have to connect a optical out cable to your apple tv then convert it to an analog signal and the use the red and white cables above the input your HDMI cable is plugged into and then problem solved
