Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Tried to open the App Store, but the little gear at the top left keeps turning and turning, and then the message "Cannot Connect to the App Store" comes up.
Intel iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
Same here in the U.S - TAmpa,FL. Apple Website slow in general. Guess ist's a server problem or they got hacked..
same with me, itunes and app store not working on my ipad and Mac, yet my wifes ipad seems ok.....had problems with music last night, screen on my ipad locked and then wouldnt allow access. shut down, started up, several time and finally came back......assume (hope!) from all the posts its a global apple issue and not just me!

Cant get the upgrade to iOS5 started on my ipad, apps do not get installed on the ipad and iphones here in Belgium.

Problem connecting to iTunes store in Sweden as well. Works occasionally...
Can't get ITunes Store either here in the US. Had some problems with App store too - felt like there was extremely heavy traffic to the site.
I'm in Romania now, my UK account not working, also roumanian accounts not working too ... what a mess!!! 😟

I had the same problem here in the states the day after the official release. I was able to install by using the restore option in ITunes - normal installation failed about 5 time on ipad and apple TV.
It's down here in Peru too. Wonder what's going on...
