iphone 4S wifi problems

I have a black 32GB iPhone 4s on Sprint(which has its own problems) and Im having connection problems on my home wifi. Its not firewall because i dont have one. My 3GS and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are working on my wifi so it has to be a problem with the phone. It was for a little while then it doesnt work for a while. Its extremely annoying! I was wondering if anyone else was having these issues and how if at all to fix them? As a Jailbreaker without a available jailbreak this is the first time i'll be looking forward to that 5.0.1 update.

Did you transfer the backup for your 3GS to your iPhone 4S, or did you set up your 4S as new?

What does not work for a while mean exacty? The 4S shows being connected to your wi-fi network but no internet access with any apps, or the connection is completely lost and you can't re-connect to the network?

If the former or regardless, on your iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will delete all saved wi-fi networks and settings from your iPhone. Follow this by re-joining the network.
