can you send an updated pages document from imac to ipad via icloud
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Make sure Documents & Data is switched on in System Preferences > iCloud on your iMac.
Same for your iPad. Tap Settings > iCloud
Tap Documents & Data to switch that ON.
Updates Pages documents should sync automatically via your Wi Fi network.
i have all the settings turned on for documents and data but the changes that i made on the document on imac did not go over to the document on ipad

'Once you set-up iCloud on your mobile devices, the changes you make to iWork documents on one device are automatically made available on your other mobile devices. For the changes to appear on your computer, you must manually download the updated document(s) from icloud.com/iwork. The reverse is also true: for changes made to iWork documents on your computer to appear on your iOS device, you must upload the updated document(s) toicloud.com/iwork using your computer’s web browser.'
(my emphasis). Automatic syncing of iWork documents from your Mac to iCloud is not available as yet.
how do you upload the imac document to icloud.com. I can't find a file of the document to drag and drop
The document is wherever you saved it. Probably in the Documents folder; but you could use Spotlight to search for it.
1. Open Safari
2. Go to iCloud.com
3. Click on iWork
4. Select the tab for the appropriate application for the document you want to upload
5. Click on the gear icon in the upper right
6. Select "Upload Document..."
7. Choose the document you want to upload from your computer.
8. After the upload, check the appropriate application on your IOS device and the document you uploaded should be there.
You can also upload documents from an iCloud-aware Mac OS X system to the iCloud using Finder. The details may be found here. (The short answer is to go to "~/Library/Mobile Documents".)
