after updating to IOS 5 my ipod music app stopped working. it will over most songs and after playing a few it will stop. D:

The same thing happened to me twice today. The first time, I restored my ipod on itunes and it started working ok again (but i had to reinstall all my apps). After listening to it for an hour, it stopped working again. I want to find an alternative to restoring it because I don't have all my apps backed up and it's a pain to reinstall all of them.
iPod touch music app is frozen, songs get skipped, and it will stop playing after a couple of songs. help?
