can't access sparse bundles to back up to Time Capsule

I can't access sparse bundles to back up my laptops or iMac to Time Capsule. Seems to have occurred after either upgrading to Lion or after the October 12th update to iCloud OS5 on my mobile devices. Went to Genius Bar and they replaced the Time Capsule for me but still receiving the same sparse bundle error-1 message.

Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

I pulled power and counted to 10 - now awaiting results.

I've had "sparsebundle in use" errors with my Time Capsule for almost two years, with two MacBook Air machines (late 2010 and a new 2013 models). Nothing seemed to work until the new firmware for my Time Capsule, v 7.6.4. Make sure you've updated the firmware. As soon as I did the error disappeared!
