Did you sync the music from your iTunes library or download it? You could try syncing with iTunes again and you could try quitting the Music app and restart the iPad and then try the music again.
To quit the Music app, Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Music App icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Thanks. Tried that. Didn't work. Let me rephrase my question. One song plays. I just cannot get any others to play. I can see that the song is in the que and it looks like it should be playing but nothing happens. I tried hitting the shuffle icon as well. Nothing happens. You know how the time length of the song appears at the top? Well when I hit play it doesn't count down.
The song that will play - is it from the same source as the song that will not play?
If the song was imported into iTunes from a CD maybe the file is corrupt. If the music was purchased from iTunes then I am stumped. It is possible to buy music from other sources and I'm not sure if that music will play in the Music app.
I know I read this at one time but I don't know if it still applies but, if music was purchased from Rhapsody, I believe you need a Rhapsody player app in order to play those songs on the iPad.
