Why won't my music sync to my ipod touch?

I downloaded the new software for my ipod touch 4th generation a few days ago, and for some reason it made me start all over again- asking me if I wanted to restore and everything. I did restore, but every time I try to sync it the little bar on top of itunes says "cancelling sync" after something about safari safe browsing data... anyway, now I have songs on my ipod but they don't play when I push the play button, only songs I buy directly from the ipod work.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

I'm having the same issue and I've tried empty the iPod music library and re-sync it, but unfortunatly, it's not working. Those songs could be synced are synced as usual but all other songs appear to be in gray color in the music library and can not be played. I'm going to try wipe the whole iPod out and start all over again, hopefully all important data are stored on iCloud.

OK I've tried wipe everything out and it's not helping neither😟. But then I figured out that I could manually copy songs into my iPod Touch 4G by enabling "Manually manage music and videos" and dragging albums into the device. For now everything goes so far so good but I noticed that if every single time there are too many files being copied into iPod, the "canceling sync" would pop out and the syncing would stop half-way. I guess there's some conflicts within iOS 5 and iTunes, and I'll call Apple for further support because I just bought this iPod Touch.😠
