iCloud does not sync to Outlook Calendar

I have an iPhone and an iPad, both now connected through the iCloud. They seem to share their calendars just fine. But what I would like is for my Outlook calendar on my PC to also be part of the sharing. If I add something on the PC Outlook calendar, I want it to appear on the iPhone and iPad. And vice versa. When I launch iCloud on the PC and check mail, calendar and contacts, it seems to copy, merge and download the calendars and contacts on the iPad and iPhone but nothing appears in Outlook and after step 4/7 I get a message Outlook set-up error.

Does anyone know a work around. I did uncheck sync in iTunes where it said it was not necessary because it would be syncing though the network, but that didn't change anything.

I finally got it to work. After writing the post, I entered an event on the PC calendar and I noticed it DID get shared with the iPhone and iPad, but events I enter on the iPad or Phone did not get added to the PC calendar. This morning I did two things. On the PC I made my calendar a "Shared Calendar". Then when I tried the iCloud setup, I only checked the Calendar box and not email or contacts. When I did that it reduced the number of tasks from 7 to 5 and it finished the set-up. When I checked the PC calendar, all the appointments were on the PC calendar.

Hope this helps someone.

ginnyfromgeorgetown, you said on your post (On the PC I made my calendar a "Shared Calendar". ) how do you do this, I have the same problem as you did, calender stoped sync, yet it worked perfect before.

When I go on the "Home" screen on my outlook 2010 the tab that says "Share Calender is shaded, therefore unable to actavate it. so is the tab that says "calender permissions" the only ones that are not shaded is "E-mail calender and Publish Online). would be very greatful if you could help.
