Transitions in Keynote doesn't work

Ever since I updated to IOS5, I discovered that transitions entered through my iPad 2 doesn't work. I transferred a Powerpoint presentation through email to my iPad and opened in Keynote. I then proceeded to add transitions to each slide. I saw that the bottom right hand corner showed a triangle, indicating transitions were added. But, when I pressed the Play button in Keynote and started tapping screens, the transitions didn't work. The slides just went through one after another without transitions. What am I doing wrong or is there a fix I need to install?
