AMD Radeon HD 6750M new updates for Battlefield 3

Hello,

I have a AMD Radeon HD 6750M, 1024 MB video card in a i7, 2.2 Ghz Macbook Pro.

Battlefield 3 is coming up and I want it to install it on my bootcamp. I read the AMD Radeon HD 6750M needs the new update. It is not possible to download and install this? Is there a way that mac provides these update with the software update tool in bootcamp so that the new AMD Radeon HD 6750M update can be installed?

regards,

output31,

The following link is the ATI 11.10 version 3 beta drivers. You need them to play BF3.

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/catalyst_11.10_preview/amd_catalyst_11.10_pre view3_win7_vista.exe

I have installed them, however, the game really doesn't run that well for some reason. I too have the MBP with the 6750m, and I have to play with all settings on low to get 30FPS @ 1080p. Kinda *****. Hopefully some newer drivers will fix the issue, because our model of MBP should definitely be able to run this game at higher settings.

Many thanks...I dont have BF3 yet but when I have it I will let you know what my settings are.
In Catalyst Control Center you can change the performance of your caming (under caming tab) preferences. I put it on the maximum standards..

There is a post on this blog that is talking about the perfromace of the ADM 6750. You can find it on the right side under the "More like this" window

They say you have to download and install:
11-6_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe

Install can be a risk for your windows stability!!

Thank you "bios" on the link you've shared

I just wanted to say that "I installed Need for speed the run, and it was asking for a newer driver than the installed 11.1 (the one from apple bootcamp support), and I used the linked file you've mentioned and wala need for speed works like charm. However, when I play the game for about 20 minutes I can see the Magsafe green light turns orange i.e.. the MacBook Pro is not satisfied by the 85 Watt comming from the Magsafe and it is taking some additional power from battery to cover the power graphics consumption.

So, either the driver linked is not the final release, and AMD or Apple should update it with an optimized one OR the 85 Watt Magsafe is not the perfect match for a 15" MBP.

Thanks again
