When I have 'No Service' and receive a call. The call rings then goes to voicemail. However, when I regain signal, I have no 'missed call' notifications. (iPhone 4S, IOS 5.0)

When using my phone at work, sometimes i lose signal and cannot receive calls. The phone says 'No Service' but when someone calls me, I don't receive a 'missed call' notification from that missed call. I actually will never know if someone called while I don't have service.

I have Verizon, running ios 5 with iPhone 4s. Is this a problem with my carrier or the iphone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wouldn't mind losing service if I knew who called.

iPhone 4, iOS 5
