This is a developer forum. When the original poster said "my application" I assume that meant an application under development. Error messages like that when an application quits usually means the application wasn't coded properly and isn't cleaning itself up. It shouldn't cause any problem, it is just messy.

If you are seeing something similar on a machine and you aren't the developer, that just means that you have installed some poorly written application. There are many to choose from. These days, no one puts much effort into researching anything. They just grab some sample code, tweak it, and ship it. Usually these error messages will include the name of the offending application. All you can do is report those error message to the application developer. In some cases, that might be Apple.

Virtuoso888,

Apple didn't really get into it much with me, but yes, they did replace the graphics card. They replaced my whole computer as a matter of fact. I should add that I only owned the computer for two months and had been experiencing a multitude of issues since the first few weeks of ownership that AppleCare had had documented since I kept calling them.

ISSUES THAT I WAS SEEING

Those issues were from VQ_LOWDISK & VQ_VERYLOWDISK messages, to programs freezing and crashing, to Safari getting stuck in a zoomed state that could only be corrected by opening a new window, to Finder not opening new windows correctly and inconsistently displaying and then not displaying sidebar even though it was enabled to right click working and then not working to the sound of a button being stuck for up to a few seconds to items getting stuck on my screen that could only be removed by restarting and others... A lot of these things are common issues from reading in the forums. Being from a Linux environment, I tried Researching each issue as it came up in an effort to correct it but called AppleCare when no resolution was working. Possible issues were thought to be RAM or maybe even the magic mouse. The AppleCare engineers/developers were still looking into it when I brought my computer in, so I'm not sure what their diagnosis would have been.

DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE AT THE GENIUS BAR

I showed the techs some screenshots (shift+command+3) of what I was experiencing and those screenshots led to the conclusion of the defunct graphics card ...among other things perhaps but never to be determined.

Interestingly, my computer passed all of the hardware diagnostics as well - even the more comprehensive test they ran at the store. But if you look at the post below, you will see a screenshot of what I was experiencing which is probably more related to this thread then the thread in which it was originally posted. It's one of the last posts. From this shot, you can see that my computer was not okay.

I hope this post can help you or someone experiencing similar issues.

Good luck,

Sheila
