iPhone 4S camera and camera roll plethora of bugs

I have exactly the same problem!!! I have restored it with iTunes and nothing changed 😟. Only video is ok 😕

I suppose it is some bug in iOS 5

I have exactly the same problem and I have no idea how to solve it. I tried to call Apple Care and I can't get service cause I bought the phone 2 years ago. I refuse to pay for an "incident" when it's something wrong with the software. Does anyone have suggestions?

Same problem here. Seems that many people are experiencing this and I haven't been able to find any solution yet posted anywhere.

Having the same problem......I tried to transfer the photos that were on phone and iPhoto isn't recognizing them 😟

i also posted a thread about this i think there is a bug in iOS 5. the only think i can recommend is to restore from a day prior to them being corrupt. send a feedback to apple http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

i just encountered this same problem today. unfortunately, i never imported any pics since getting the 4s a few wks ago and am now worried about losing nearly 600 pics. i tried to sync to iTunes and iPhoto, but the sync is reading ZERO photos, when I have 600 in the phone. i have tried to delete new apps and have shut down/restarted the phone numerous time, with no luck. Some of my new pics from today are even 'hidden' under older pics, where it can only be uncovered when i hit the 'edit' button. i'm very frustrated ...and will be very angry if I lose all those pics!

I have about 300 that I need to sync too. I'm at the point of trying to email them to myself. My iPhone will not allow me to delete them! Once I email them, I'll restore my phone. This is awful!!

Was able to pull my photos off of photostream using my iPad - restored my phone and am still having issues with camera refusing to take photos or delete previous photos. I'm super frustrated. Anyone have any luck fixing this issue?

MY GOODNESS!!! I'm facing the exact same bug... A lot of my photos are irreplaceable! This is ludacris to have to go through with a brand new phone!

I'm hoping somehow the iCloud can be some type of assistance with this.

iPhoto couldnt recognize my photos, neither could Preview or Windows (on a PC). I found that the only thing that was able to uncover the 'hidden' photos was to place them in some sort of message. Therefore, I got desperate and emailed nearly 200 photos to myself, in desperation to save them. Hubby spoke to an Apple 'genius' this morning, who was unsure what to do after stating that he's never seen/heard of anything like that before. I was surprised to hear that after seeing so many posts about it here. Anyways, he said that i may have to just restore the phone to factory settings, which may end up with lost photos. Hubby is now talking with another 'genius' so we'll see if this one has any better suggestions. This is so frustrating especially since it's a brand new phone ...and an iphone, at that! Totally disappointed w/ this!!!

I've reset my to factory settings and it still isn't working. I was able to view my photos on the photo stream on my iPad and then save them. I then attached my iPad to my computer and uploaded the photos. I just want to be able to use my cameras

There's 112 pictures in the album. I was able to upload 27 of them.

Starting at picture #28 it fails to upload. I cannot message these pictures either.

iPhoto reports 0 photos. iTunes reports 0 space used by photos.

I was having this same problem and this worked for me. I know this is a paid app http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-transfer-app/id365152940?mt=8 (2.99) but it worked for me. I transferred all my photos and videos that I hadn't previously backed up using it. It worked flawlessly. Then I went back and restored from backup from my computer a recent backup for the iphone. After the restore the camera and camera roll were working again.
