Lost iCal appointments after upgrading to Lion

I made the move from mobile me to iCloud and my iMac iCal stopped syncing with my other devices. Thought I had to upgrade to Lion to work with iCLoud. I did it but after installing Lion the appointments I had made in my iMac since moving from mobile me to iCloud are all missing! Any ideas if there is a way I can get them back? I was careful and used my time machine before upgrading to Lion but even in the time machine I can't find my appointments I made after moving from Mobile me to iCloud!
