Why is sound quality so poor when listening to iPad through MMI on an Audi Q5? Many songs have a strong hissing sound.

I have a 2010 Audi Q5. I connect my iPad 2 with the Audi supplied connector located in the glove box. The MMI software in the car easily identifies the iPad. Problem is that many songs have a very noticable, annoying hissing sound that comes through the car's stereo system. This hissing is not heard when playing the song through the iPad or through a stero. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?

I have the same exact problem with a 2011 Q5. I previously used an iPod touch and sometimes use my wife's iPhone 3GS and they both sound fine. I only have the hissing with my iPad 2. I am going to contact Apple ... will repost here if I get a response that helps.

If you hear anything, please post. Audi said that they would need my car and do a thorough test that would take several hours. I don't think they know what the issue is.
