I have a new 4s and outgoing calls fail>50% of time. Phone and sim card replaced. Does anyone have a clue? incoming calls and everything else fine. Apple and AT&T stumped.

I am having the same trouble. More so it takes 2-3 calls to get a outgoing call completed. The first 2 either I can hear them or they can hear me or nothing. Then the call goes through. Need a FAST fix on this!

I have iphone 4s 16gb. I have outgoing call issues (no sound till I toggle speakerphone) since new. I exchanged phone at apple however new phone has same issue. Got sim card replace, no deal. Restored in several different ways, nothing. Apple reps tell me they have never heard of problem? They are stumped.... Very frustrated....

i turn off PIN code from my Sim card
and now it works well.

Been in IT for 30 years my first Apple product and have to say the "Phone Application" is a Joke an absolute heap of unreliable CRAP come on Apple drop the Hype + BS! and get it right its a mini-hand held computer with a **** poor excuse for a phone.
Only bought it to use 1 App and thats all its good for, go talk to Nokia they make Phones that WORK!!!
Solution to this problem is changing the time zone. After changing the time zone restart the phone. Outgoing will work.
Im from Slovakia in Europa. I have a new 4s and 50% of outgoing calls are failed (no audio, the people hear me a I hear nothing). When I call second or third time, than everything is OK.
What can I do?
I am experiencing the same problem of no audio on approximately 50% of the time on outgoing calls. Today I noticed tha when I tried to talk after the call went out I got my voice back through the ear piece. My wife says she can hear me but I cant't hear her on the call. Is it a hardware or software problem?
Regarding kkse's solution: What's that got to do with the speaker? And, to what time zone should I change it to, one other than my own?

Take your phone in and let them look at it. They replaced mine and I have not had a problem since.
