My keyboard won't pop up when I'm in apps it works in messages, email etc. can anyone help? Please

Have you tried a Reset...
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

I've reconnected up to my pc, see if any updates etc tried going through my settings, reboot thing you said. It's just so weird that it doesn't work in apps I can purchase things by copy and pasting, using notes but I really would like it fixed.
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup.. Restore as New...
If it is speciific Apps you are having Issues with see the Apps > Troubleshooting Section in the Link posted above...
In the meantime...Try this First... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...

I had the same problem: keyboard would not appear to enter password. Good ol' reset did the trick.
